Review by hotel critic
As a travel enthusiast with a taste for mountain walking and beautiful beaches, I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Pen Y Bont Hotel. the location was breathtaking, with superlative views of the lake from the lakeside Beer Garden and sheltered patio. the hosts, Thomas Lloyd and his wife, were incredibly welcoming and made our stay extra special with their warm hospitality and great advice on local activities. The hotel itself is a beautiful building with very cozy rooms that overlook St Mary's Church and the magnificent sweeping slopes of Craig Goch mountain side. the 16th-century Restaurant and Bar with log fires offered a fine sight on a Winter evening, creating a cozy and charming atmosphere. We indulged in the homemade cuisine for dinner, which was delicious and satisfying after a day of exploring. One of the highlights of our stay was the sweeping view of the fields descending towards the coast, which was truly mesmerizing. the hotel's proximity to attractions like Corris Mine Explorers, Corris Craft Centre, and King Arthur's Labyrinth made it a perfect base for exploring the area on a rainy day. Overall, my experience at the Pen Y Bont Hotel was nothing short of magical. From the stunning views and cozy atmosphere to the warm hospitality and delicious food, it was a perfect getaway for a nature lover like myself. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and picturesque retreat in the heart of Wales.
